Both the Hyundai Palisade and the Kia Telluride will be big hits. They are the right cars, and most importantly, they deliver tremendous value. So, what's missing? What more do we want? Answer: The twin-turbo V6.
Imagine the "PALISADE GTS TURBO." There are no options other than color and wheel choice. It comes with everything (AWD, towing, and all the luxuries), and it costs $48,800 / definitely under $50k (just a little more than the current top model). Equipping it one way helps you hit the price target.
Don't change the styling much at all. To the top model, add...

- The engine upgrade
- GTS badging
- Body-colored roof rack
- A couple additional model-specific colors
- Improved taillight design (think Telluride / dump the bright white back light lenses
- Slightly more aggressive exhaust with more prominent pipes at the back
- Somewhat stiffer springs
- Paddle shifters with a faster-shifting transmission profile
- Distinct wheels and tires:
- Go with stout-looking wheel design that is 1-inch wider, but not too tall. For better ride quality, improved off-road ability and pothole survival, and a better overall look of strength dump the rubber band profile tires. Go with a 19-inch diameter wheel that is one-inch wider with thick spokes and deep dish design. Offer the wheels in either a fully-polished finish or a highly-polished gunmetal gray (not too dark) finish with bright outside rings and very aggressive-looking tires.
