I have the new Android Auto interface installed. When it works, it's great! It will work fine anywhere from 20 seconds to several minutes. I then unplug the cable and plug it in again and it will work for similar periods of time. I've noticed dozens of similar concerns in several newsgroups. Fixes are "turn off Wi-Fi and/or replace cable". I've tried six different cables including several new, Samsung branded ones. Nothing helped. Has anyone experienced similar problems?
