Removal or rear HVAC controls from back of center console

Anybody know how to remove the control panel for rear HVAC/Seat heat that is mounted on the back of the center console between the front seats?

Looks to me like the whole surround that the control pad is mounted in needs to be removed, just don't know how to pop it off so curious if anybody has ever had to remove.

Appears that one of our kids spilled something in one of the rear heated seat buttons and it no longer works so have ordered replacement. Just don't want to break the surround getting it out as need to reuse that.

I was able to remove - got a screwdriver under each side and pulled out and up at about a 80 deg. angle and popped it out. Did not want to break it as my replacement part came with a gray surround while car has black interior. No damage to surround so just removed broken control panel and inserted new one and all good. Got replacement from Ebay for about $40.
